Abstract:Objective To study the variation trend of incidence and epidemic characteristics of Japanese encephalitis during 1966-2005.Method The data of epidemic situation of Japanese encephalitis during 1966-20...Objective To study the variation trend of incidence and epidemic characteristics of Japanese encephalitis during 1966-2005.Method The data of epidemic situation of Japanese encephalitis during 1966-2005 in Chenzhou was analyzed by using SPSS 10.0. Results The annual reported incidence decreased year by year and the annual average incidence was 5.87/105 during 1966-2005 in Chenzhou. Children aged 1-5 years old were major subjects attacked by Japanese encephalitis,accounting for 76.65%. There was obvious seasonal variation and 93.31% cases occurred during July-August. Conclusion The inoculation of Japanese encephalitis vaccine is an effective prophylaxis. The programmed immunization in children aged 1-5 years old should be strengthened.Read More
