Title: Electrocatalytic oxidation of nitric oxide at sol-gel-Co(Phen)_2 modified electrodes
Abstract: The solgelCo(Phen)2 modified electrode was prepared and utilized to detect NO. Cyclic voltammetry(CV)was employed to investigate the electrochemical character of NO at the modified electrode. It was found that the modified electrode exhibited catalytic effect on the electrochemical oxidation of NO. The anodic peak potential of NO at the solgelCo(Phen)2 modified electrode was 210 mV lower than that at the bare glassy carbon electrode. The peak current was proportional to the concentration of NO in the range of 5.6×10-8~2.8×10-5 mol/L with the correlation coefficient of 0.999 and the detection limit of 1.4×10-8 mol/L. Some biological species such as ascorbic acid, nitrite, dopamine, and Larginine did not interfere the determination of NO.
