Title: Stress Analysis of New U-Shape Girders for Urban Rail Transit Considering Warping
Abstract: Stress in new U-shape Girders for urban rail transit under single line was analysed by adopting two approaches,the theoretical solution of open thin-walled frame structures and 3D finite element model.The results with consideration of warping by the two approaches coincide with each other basically.The results indicated that,while considering warping,the normal stress under single line was less than that under double line,the warping normal stress counted for a small proportion.On the contrary,the shear stress under single line exceeded that under double line,which meant that the shear stress under single line was critical during design and calculation and the warping effect should not be ignored while calculating shear stress.
