Title: Expression and It's Clinical Significance of VEGF,CD44v6 and MMP-9 in Human Esophageal Carcinoma
Abstract: Objective:To investigate the expression of VEGF, CD44v6 and MMP-9 in human esophageal carcinoma, and its relationship with clinicopathological features of the disease. Methods:Immunohistochemical Envision technique was applied to detect the expression of VEGF, CD44v6 and MMP-9 in 45 specimens of esophageal carcinoma tissues. Results:The positive rate of VEGF, CD44v6, MMP-9 expression were 62. 2%. 68. 9% and 42. 2% respectively; The expression of VEGF, CD44v6 was correlated with TNM stage and lymph node metastasis(P0. 05) , but wasnt correlated with invasion depth and tumor size(P 0. 05) ;the expression of MMP-9 was correlated with TNM stage, invasion depth and tumor size(P0. 05), but wasnt related to lymph node metastasis(P0. 05). Conclusion:The expression of VEGF, CD44v6, MMP-9 is correlated with TNM stage, invasion depth and lymph node metastasis in esophageal carcinoma. Examination of the expression of the three proteins may play an important role in the judgment of the biological behavior and prognosis of esophageal carcinoma.
