Title: Comparative study of pap smears and liquid-based cytology in screening for cervical cancer
Abstract: Objective:To study the effect of pap smears and liquid-based cytology in screening for cervical cancer.Methods:2 377married women check-up in our hospital from November,2011to December,2012were randomly divided into the control group,1 188cases,examined by pap smears the study group,1 189cases,by liquid-based cytology screening.The positive rate and coincidence rate,etc.were analyzed.Results:The positive rate of the study group(6.73%)was significantly higher than that of the control group(1.18%),which was of statistical significance(P0.05);the positive rate of patients in the study group coincide with that of pathological histology examination was 100%in cancer,100%in CIN Ⅲ,90.63%in CIN Ⅱand 84.21%in CINⅠ.Conclusion:The lesion detection rate of liquid-based cytology screening for cervical cancer is higher and more accurate than that of the traditional pap smear.
