Title: Clinical Effect of Plaster-Pressure at Ear Point in Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome and Its Influence on Sleep Structure
Abstract: Objective To investigate the clinical effect and sleep structure changes of patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAHS) treated by plaster-pressure at ear point. Methods Totally 45 OSAHS patients were randomly divided into trial group of plaster-pressure therapy at ear point with Semen Vaccarriae (30 patients) and control group (15 Patients). The changes of clinical symptoms of the patients in the two groups were comparatively analyzed, and apnea index (AI),hypo-ventilation index (HI),apnea hypopnea index (AHI),minimal oxygen saturation of blood (SaO_2) and longest apnea time,as well as changes of sleep parameters at night before and after treatment were determined with polysomnography (PSG).Results After treatment, compared with control group, the clinical symptoms of patients in trial group were obviously improved, and in every parameter in polysomnography there was a significant difference (P0.01).After treatment, the clinical symptoms and every index of patients in the control group were not changed significantly as compared with before treatment. In the trial group, the OSAHS patients showed significant improvement in clinical symptoms and every indexes of PSG (P0.01).Conclusion The plaster-pressure therapy at ear point has a good effect in treating OSAHS patients. It is a convenient, effective, economical, and side-effect-free method for early prevention and treatment of OSAHS.
