Title: Real-time contrast-enhanced ultrasound in evaluation of therapy effect of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization for hepatocellular carcinoma
Abstract: Objective To assess real-time contrast-enhanced ultrasound in evaluation therapy effect of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE) for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods A total of 21 patients with HCC(30 lesions) after TACE were enrolled.SonoVue was used to perform real-time contrast-enhanced ultrasonography. Results ①After TACE,real-time contrast-enhanced ultrasonography detected more survival blood supply inside tumors than color Doppler energy did.②After TACE,fully embolized lesions appeared as defect on each phase of real-time contrast-enhanced ultrasound, and 16 lesions mainly had 3 kinds of appearances.③The performance after real-time contrast-enhanced ultrasound could hint the actual scope of non-blood area after TACE,as well as whether there were cancer embolus inside portal vein and new lesions inside the liver or not. Conclusion Real-time contrast-enhanced ultrasound can be used regularly after TACE to assess therapy effect.
