Title: Numerical calculating methods for skin effect of hollow round conductor
Abstract: A method that divides hollow cylindrical conductor into many layers is used to calculate the skin effect. On the basis of elementary electromagnetic laws, the numerical formulas for calculating current density of layers are deduced. The method solves the problems encounted in using analytic method. Its programming is also much simpler than that of finite element method. The paper gives the calculated results of current density and depth of penetration, from which we conclude that the conductor with larger radius may be regarded as plane one when skin effect is considered.
