Title: Application of ultrasonic elastography in the diagnosis of breast disease
Abstract: 【Objective】To investigate the value of ultrasonic elastography in the diagnosis of breast disease.【Methods】A total of 32 patients of breast disease with 36 lesions were analyzed by ultrasonic elastograms and gray-scale ultrasonography methods. The rigidity of all lesions were analyzed in elastography mode, the areas of lesions were measured in gray-scale ultrasonography and ultrasonic elastography respectively and meanwhile the ratio was calculated. All the results were contrasted with the pathological types.【Results】(1)The ultrasonic elastograms : most of the benign lesions were 0-Ⅱgrade(19/22,about 86.4%),while most of the malignant lesions were III-Ⅴ grade(12/14,about 85.7%).(2)The areas of malignant lesions in elastography(20.6±43.7)were significantly increased as compared with those in gray-scale ultrasonography(15.2±34.8)(P 0.05).(3)The area ratio of malignant group(1.97±0.49)in the two modes was larger than that of benign group(1.23±0.06)(P 0.05).【Conclusion】Ultrasonic elastography can objectively evaluate the relative elastic hardness of breast tumors, and identify whether the breast lumps are benign or malignant with high diagnostic value.
