Title: Comparative Study on Total Saponins of Japanese Ginseng in Different Extraction Technology
Abstract: Objective:To investigate the optimal extraction process of total saponins from panax japonicus.Method:The yield of total saponins, oleanolic acid content and anti-oxidant activity in vitro from the extraction were used as index to optimize the condition of the extraction process within 60% ethanol reflux extraction, water extraction and alcohol sink method, foam fractionation, water saturation n-buoh the ultrasonic extraction method and 60 % ethanol ultrasonic extraction method.Results:60 % ethanol ultrasonic extraction was the best method with total saponins extraction yield up to 24.29 %(total saponins content 88.85 %),and oleanolic acid transfer rate(33.59%) and anti-oxidant activity(71.30%) were all relatively high, compared with other methods. Conclusion:The 60% ethanol ultrasonic extraction process is relatively simple, fast, efficient and economical, with high transfer rate of effective component,so it could be used for extracting panax japonicas.
