Title: Efficacy and T/P ratio of amlodipine and bisoprolol in essential hypertension monotherapy and effect on microcirculation
Abstract: AIM:To evaluate the efficacy and T/P ratio and microcirculation of amlodipine and bisoprolol in essential hypertension. METHODS: Sixty patients with mild to moderate essential hypertension (EH) were radomly divided into two groups and treated with amlodipine and bisoprolol 5 mg, po ,qd for 6 wk,respectively. RESULTS:The total effective rate of amlodipine group and bisoprolol group was 93 % and 90 %.After a 6 wk treatment, compared with each other, the reduction degrees of each group in SBP,DBP and 24 h SBP were similar ( P 0.05).Heart rate (HR) was decreased in bisoprolol group, but kept unchanged in the amlodipine group. The result of T/P ratio value of each group was all more than 50 %.T/P ratio in the amlodipine group was larger than that in the bisoprolol group. The results of detection of nailfold microcirculation showed that the microcirculation in the amlodipine group and the bisoprolol group had all been improved after treatment, and that in amlodipine group had been changed more . CONCLUSION:The two drugs have same potency in hypertensive monotherapy.T/P ratio of amlodipine is larger than that of bisoprolol.Amolodipine and bisoprolol can all improve the naifold microcirculation.
