Title: The Clinic Value of the Expression of p53, p16, PCNA Protein in Esophageal Carcinoma
Abstract: [Purpose]To investigate the expression of p53,p16,proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA) protein in esophageal carcinoma and its clinic significance.[Methods]The expression of p53,p16 and PCNA protein in 50 cases with esophageal carcinoma were detected by immunohistochemical assay(S-P technique). [Results] The positive expression of p53,PCNA protein in 50 patients were equal with 74% (37/50). The rate of p16 gene loss was 52%(26/50).The loss of p16 was significantly related to the depth of invasion and lymph node metastasis(P0.05,P0.01). The positive expression of p53 and PCNA (56%, 28/50) were significantly related to the depth of invasion and lymph node metastasis too (P0.05,P0.01). [Conclusion] The expression of p53 and PCNA and the loss of p16 in esophageal carcinoma may serve as a risk prognosis factors.
