Title: Modeling of vehicle braking system based on kinetic energy conversion and self-optimizing control for ABS
Abstract: A new method of building the braking model from kinetic energy conversion was proposed for the vehicle braking system.Comparisons were done between this model and the traditional model with or without anti-lock braking system(ABS).A self-optimizing control strategy of ABS was designed according to the vehicle braking principle and self-optimizing theory. This control could search the optimal slip rate automatically with different road conditions. At the same time braking performance indices were analyzed under this control and the logic threshold value control.Simulation results show that variation trends in braking performance parameters on the proposed model are consistent with those of traditional model in the vehicle braking process with or without ABS.Whether the road is a dry concrete pavement or an asphalt pavement, the braking time and braking distance under self-optimizing control are better than those of the logic threshold value control.
