Title: Advertising English or English for advertising
Abstract: English advertisement and advertising English are two different approaches to study language for advertising. This paper first summarizes the so called vocabulary, syntactic and rhetoric features put forward by some people, and then refutes their opinion by citing examples from the newspaper and magazines. The paper concludes that English advertisement is a more proper name for the study of English used in advertisements than English advertising.
