Title: Psychological Investigation on Diabetic Patients Complicated with Coronary Heart Disease
Abstract: Objective To investigate the psychological status of the diabetic patients complicated with coronary heart disease(CHD) with a view to providing psychological evidence for comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation for the patients.Methods A total of 123 diabetic patients complicated with CHD were measured with symptom checklist 90 (SCL-90) on the psychology.Comparisons were conducted not only between the patients’ scores of SCL-90 and national norm but also between male and female patients’ scores of SCL-90.Results The scores of SCL-90 in the diabetic patients complicated with CHD were significantly higher than those of national norm(P0.01).The scores of somatization,depression,anxiety,and phobic factor in the group of diabetic patients complicated with CHD were significantly higher than those of the normal(P0.05 or P0.01).The scores in the factors of somatization,depression and hostility in the female patients were significantly higher than those of the male patients(P0.05).Conclusion Serious psychological negative emotions are common in the diabetic patients complicated with CHD,which deserves more concerns to promote the rehabilitation of the patients with practicable treatments and nursing measures.
