Title: Relationship between Plasma IL-10 Level and T2DM Macrovascular Complications
Abstract: Objective To investigate the relationship between plasma IL-10 levels and T2DM macrovascular complications. Methods A total of 84 T2DM patients were enrolled, including 50 with macrovascular lesions (group A) and 34 without (group B).Anther 50 healthy subjects were chosen as control group.Serum IL-10 levels were detected by ELISA kits in 3 groups. Results The levels of serum IL-10 were lower in group A than in control (2 . 7±0 . 9 ng/L,4 . 5±1 . 6 ng/L,respectively),the difference was significant (P0 . 05).There was not significant difference in IL-10 levels between groups B and control(P0.05).Conclusion Low-IL-10 hyperlipidemia exists in T2DM patients with macrovascular lesions, suggesting that inflammation is involved in the occurrence and development of T2DM macrovascular complications.IL-10 may be one of the risk factors and predictors of T2DM macrovascular lesions.
