Title: Comparison and analysis on outcomes of rescue ICSI at different times
Abstract: Objective:To compare and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of rescue intracytoplasmic sperm injection(ICSI) at 6 hours and 20 hours after IVF to cope with fertilization failure. Methods:489 cycles were presumed fertilization or not at 6 hours after IVF(6-hour group),620 cycles were presumed fertilization or not at 20 hours after IVF(20-hour group),the laboratory indexes in the two groups were compared when the fertilization rates were 0~30% and 0,respectively. Results:When the fertilization rate was 0~30%,the 2PN fertilization rate, the number of embryos, the number of frozen embryos and the number of transplanted embryos in 6-hour group were significantly higher than those in 20-hour group;the pregnancy rate and implantation rate in 6-hour group were higher than those in 20-hour group, but there was no significant difference;when the fertilization rate was 0,the 2PN fertilization rate, the number of good quality embryos, the number of ≥5 cells embryos, the number of frozen embryos and pregnancy rate in 6-hour group were significantly higher than those in 20-hour group. Conclusion:The outcomes of rescue ICSI at 6 hours after IVF are superior to those at 20 hours after IVF.
