Title: Sythesis of n-amyl acetate catalyzed by sodium bisulfate
Abstract: The synthesis of n-amyal acetate from acetic acid and n-pentanol using sodium bisulfate as catalyst was studied. Some effects on product yield were discussed. It was shown that sodium bisulfate has good catalytic activity.Optimum reaction coudition coudition condition were gained as follows:molar ratio of n-pentanol and acetic acid was 1.3:1,the amount of catalyst was 2.3%( based on the total reactants), the reaction time was 1.5 h,and the reaction temperature was 130~140 ℃.The yield can reach 99.3%.
