Title: Expression of NF-κB and associated protein with lymphatic metastasis and its clinical significance in colon cancer
Abstract: [Objective] To explore the expression of nuclear transcription factor κB(NF-κB),vascular endothelial cell growth factor-C(VEGF-C) and VEGF receptor-3(VEGFR-3) in colon cancer and its clinical significance.[Methods] The expression of NF-κB,VEGF-C and VEGFR-3 and its correlation with the clinical features were determined by immunohistochemistry in 76 human colon cancer.[Results] The expression rates of NF-κB,VEGF-C and VEGFR-3 in colon cancer tissues were 57.89%,56.58%,46.84%,respectively.Overexpression of NF-κB,VEGF-C and VEGFR-3 in colon cancer was related to lymph node metastasis and the tumor staging(P0.05).The expression of NF-κB and VEGF-C was related to tumor size(P0.05).Expression of NF-κB in colon cancer tissues was positively correlated with VEGF-C and VEGFR-3 expression(P0.05).[Conclusion] The overexpression of VEGF-C and VEGFR-3,which were regulated by NF-κB,has a close relation with the lymph node metastasis in colon cancer.
