Title: Research on copper coated hydrogen storage alloy and its stability
Abstract: Hydrogen storage alloy powder was surface treated by copper displacement plating and passivation treatment. The results showed that the method of displacement plating was a simple technology, low cost, easy operation, the value of pH and the concentration of cupric ions had effect on plating quality. The discharge performances of the copper coated hydrogen storage alloy were improved and the presence of additives would give more capacity. The stability of copper coating in air could be improved by passivation treatment after displacement plating and passivation treatment had no bad effect on discharge performance.
