Title: Study on AZ91D Mg Alloy Electroless Nickel-Plating Process
Abstract: The lectroless nickel plating process used for the surface of AZ91D Mg alloy was studied in order to solve problems of conventional Mg alloy electroless nickel-plating such as process complexity,inapplicability to Mg alloy with high Al content,liquid waste disposal if using cyanide and so on.The process flow,solution composition and process parameters were introduced.The bonding between plating layer and base body,plating layer surface morphology were observed by SEM,and the hardness,bonding force and corrosion resistance of plating layer were examined.Results showed that a flat,bright,compact plating layer of good bonding with the base metal could be obtained,which can effectively protect Mg alloy from corrosion.
