Title: Combination of oral administration and external application of Chinese medicine for liver cancer ascites of spleen deficiency and blood stasis pattern
Abstract: Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of combined oral administration and external application for primary liver cancer ascites.Methods Sixty cases were randomized into two groups: control group in which 30 cases were treated by spironolactone orally,and treatment group in which 30 cases were treated by combined oral administration of strengthening spleen to activate blood and disinhibit water medicine with external application of water-expelling medicine,with the course of 15 days.The ascites,quality of life and clinical symptom were observed.Results The ascites in treatment group was better than that in control group(P0.05);after treatment,the Karnofsky score was increased in treatment group(P0.05),and was decreased in control group(P0.05);there was a significant difference between the two groups(P0.05);after treatment,the bloating and pain in abdomen were improved more significantly in treatment group than in control group(P0.05).Conclusion Combined oral administration and external application of Chinese medicine is effective for primary liver cancer,and can improve the clinical symptoms and quality of life.
