Title: The Change in the Income Gap between Urban Households of Our Country and an Analysis of the Developing Trend in the "Eleventh Five Years"
Abstract: The author quantitatively analyzes the changing process of the income gap between urban households of our country with the three indices of Gini coefficient, income shares and actual increase rate of annual per capita disposable income of different groups and holds that the income gap between urban households has been widening since 1985, but the acceleratively widening income gap began to be reversed in 2006. On the basis of the background of macro-economy, the author forecasts that during the Eleventh Five Years, the gap between income shares of different groups will be reduced and Gini coefficient will be lower. The aim of gradually turning the trend of widening income gap, which was put forward both in the Eleventh Five-Year Plan and the 17th National Congress of the People's Republic of China, will be achieved.
