Five week old chickens were intramuscularly inoculated with 500 mg/L of the liposome entrapped pcHNM DNA. One week after vaccination, HI antibody titers started to increase and maintained up to 6 th week. The antibody titer of the control group was 2.30, naked DNA group 4.09,CTAB/DOPE liposome DNA group 5.20, Six weeks after inoculation, the chickens were challenged with 0.5 mL of 10 -4 F48E9 new castle disease virus. The livability of the control group was 27.28%, naked DNA group 81.82%,CTAB liposome DNA group 100.00%. The result showed that inoculating the liposome encapsulated plasmid DNA was more effective in stimulating the special humor responses and cellular responses than that of the naked DNA,and were more efficient to protect the chickens from the lethal NDV challenge.Read More
