Title: Synthesis and Properties of Hg~(2+) Double-Template Imprinted Polymer
Abstract: A new type of Hg imprinted polymer was successfully synthesized by a hierarchically double-imprinting approach. In the imprinting process, both mercuric chloride and surfactant micelles(cetyltrimethylammonium bromide) were used as templates,N-(2-aminoethyl)-3-aminopropyltrime-thoxysilane as functional monomer, and tetraethoxysilane as cross-linking agent. The prepared imprinted polymer was characterized by FT-IR and scanning electron microscopy. The adsorption property and selective recognition ability of the polymer were studied by equilibrium-adsorption method. To get the optimal reaction conditions, the effect of the absorbent dosage,pH and the sorption time on adsorption properties of imprinted polymers was investigated. The results showed that the uptake capacity and selectivity of the double-imprinted polymer for Hg2+ were better than those of the CTMAB-imprinted polymer and the Hg-imprinted polymer. The new imprinted polymer also showed a fast sorption reaction with the saturation time of less than 20 minute, and the polymer could be used repeatedly. In the presence of Pb(II),the largest relative selectivity coefficient was found to be 73.The double-imprinted polymer is applied to the enrichment and separation of Hg2+ with a promising future.
