Title: Influence of the Mode of Ovarian Surgery on Reproductive Hormones
Abstract: Objective To investigate influence of the mode of ovarian surgery on reproductive hormones in female premenopausal patients. Methods 75 female patients with uterine benign diseases were divided into 3 groups according to the mode of operation; group Ⅰ, simple hysterectomy; group Ⅱ , hysterectomy plus uni-lateral adnexectomy; and group Ⅲ , hysterectomy plus bilateral adnexectomy. The FSH, LH, E2 were measured before operation and 2,6,12 months after operation. Results There were no significant differences in the measuremens in group Ⅰ . In group Ⅱ , there were significant differences at 2,12 months after operation compared with the baseline. In group Ⅲ , there were significant changes of reproductive hormones after operation. Conclusion Simple hysterectomy would not influence the reproductive hormones, but ovarectomy did induce some changes.
