Title: Expression and significance of p-ERK and Ki-67 in human LSCC
Abstract: Objective:To explore the expressions of p-ERK and Ki-67 and the correlation between them in patients with laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma(LSCC).Methods:The expressions of p-ERK and Ki-67 in 65 patients with LSCC were detected by Elivison immunohistochemical technique. Results:The positive rate of p-ERK expression was 58.46%(38/65).The positive expression of p-ERK was associated with the clinical stage and clinical classification(P0.05),not with the lymph node metastasis. The positive rate of Ki-67 was 64.62%(42/65),and it had a significant difference in different clinical stages and lymph node metastasis(P0.01),no significant difference in different clinical classification. The expression of p-ERK had a positive correlation with that of Ki-67 in LSCC.Conclusion:Ki-67 and p-ERK have higher expressions in LSCC,which might play an important role in the development of laryngeal carcinoma. They will be the targets of gene therapy in laryngeal carcinoma.
