Title: Therapeutic Effect of Modified Xiaoyao Powder for the Treatment of Hepatic Injury Induced by Anti-tuberculosis Drugs
Abstract: Objextive:To observe the therapeutic effect of Modified Xiaoyao Powder (MXP)for the treatment of hepatic injury induced by anti-tuberculosis drugs. Meth- ods:One hundred and twenty patients were randomized into two groups:the control group(n=62)received the treatment with Ganlixin,Biphenyl Dimethyl-dicarboxylate Dropping Pills,Hugan Tablets and Inosine Tablets, and the treatment group(n=58) received MXP on the basis of the routine treatment of the control group. Results:The cure rate was 70.68% and the total effective rate was 100% in the treatment. In the control group, the cure rate was 48.39% and the total effective rale was 98.39%. The difference of the cure rate was significant while that of the total effective rate was insignifi- cant(P0. 05). The mean time for hepatic function recovering to normal was 28.5 days in the treatment group and 44.6 days in the control group(P0.05). The number of patients whose anti-tuberculosis regimen was changed was 28 in the treatment group and 62 in the control group(P0.01). Conclusion:MXP has synergism and attenuation actions for patients with hepatic injury induced by anti-tuberculosis drugs.
