Title: Effect of Tengcha flavonoids on the expression of TGF-β_1 in Experimental Rats with Hepatic fibrosis
Abstract: Objective:To investigate the protective effect of TCF on experimental rats with hepatic fibrosis and explore its possible mechanism.Method: fifty-two male SD rats were randomly divided into four groups: healthy control group, model group,TCF group and Fufangbiejiaruanganpian group.the experimental model of hepatic fibrosis was induced by hypodermical injection of carbon tetrachloride(CCL4) in rats.In the meanwhile, each group was treated with dietary supplementation of TCF,Fufangbiejiaruanganpian and isotonic Na chloride, respectively. After 12 weeks treatment, the level of serum Hyaluronic Acid(HA),Laminin(LN),Procolagen Type Ⅲ(PCⅢ),Collagen Type Ⅳ(CⅣ) and TGF-β1were assayed, the positive proportion of TGF-β1in liver tissues was analyzed.Result: Compared with the model group, the level of serum HA,LN,PCⅢ,CⅣ and TGF-β1in TCF group were decreased significantly(P0.05),the positive proportion of TGF-β1in liver tissues were decreased markedly(P0.05).Conclusion: TCF has good preventive and therapeutic effects on the hepatic fibrosis, and its mechanism possibly associated with down-regulating the level of TGF-β1in serum and liver tissues.
