Title: study on curving behavior for tilting passenger car
Abstract: By using tilting carbodies, the train can negotiate at a higher speed without reducing the passenger's ride quality. This is a good method, which allows a significant increase in speed at existing track, improves the railway transport capability, and enhances railway's competition with other transportation. With the increase of curve negotiation speed, the wheel/rail lateral force and wheel/rail wear index will increase. Radial bogie is an effective way to solve the problem. In this paper, the dynamical model for the tilting carbody with self steering bogie is established, and the curving performance of the car is investigated.
