Title: An Analysis of Modality Orientations in College English Text Introductions
Abstract: This paper studies how interpersonal meanings of modality in College English text introductions are realized before it discusses the subjective and objective orientations of modality and its interpersonal meanings.The study shows that implicit subjective modality and implicit objective modality play an important role in the construction of interpersonal meanings of College English text introductions.
