Title: Study on Propagation and Attenuation Characteristics of Acoustic Emission Wave Propagation along Fluid Loaded Pipeline
Abstract: Acoustic characteristics of acoustic emission wave propagating along fluid-loaded pipeline were analyzed theoretically,and propagation speed and attenuation rate of different types of acoustic emission wave mode were measured.Acoustic emission pipeline leakage detection and location technology was researched and experiments were carried out on an 41.4 meter long water-loaded pipeline.When pressure in the pipe was 0.6 MPa and distance between two AE sensors was 40 m,and when cross-correlation signal processing method was applied,leakage with 1 mm diameter could be detected and relative location error was 2.9%.
