Title: Determination of Seven Organic Solvent Residues in Cefoxitin Sodium by Headspace GC
Abstract: Objective To establish a method for the determination of organic solvent residue in cefoxitin sodium.Methods Headspace capillary gas chromatography was applied.Chromatographic conditions were: capillary column(DB-624,0.25 μm,30 m×0.32 mm×1.8 μm);temperature programming started at 60℃,holding for 2 min,then increased to 140℃ at a rate of 20℃/min;the temperature of flame ionization detector(FID) was 250℃;the injector temperature was 200℃.Results A good linear relationship was found within the studied range and the reovery could meet the requirment.Conclusion The established method is sensitive,accurate,and suitable for the determination of the organic solvent residue in cefoxitin sodium.
