Title: COMPARISON OF DISINFECTION EFFICACY OF TWO KINDS OF 84 DISINFECTION SOLUTION IN CLINICAL ACTUAL USE
Abstract: Objective To observe the disinfection efficacy of ordinary 84 disinfection solution and the 84 disinfection soluton containing iodine in clinical actual use in order to standardize clinical application method. Methods Suspension quantitative germicidal test and physicochemical analysis method were used to determine the germicidal efficacy and the active principle content.ELISA was used to determine the destructive effect on HBsAg.Results The rate of decrease in available chlorine content in the 2 kinds of 84 disinfection solution increased with prolonging the immersion disinfection time, especially the rate of decrease in the ordinary 84 disinfection solution was quicker. The average killing logarithm value of spores of Bacillus subtilis var.niger in suspension exposed to the ordinary 84 disinfection solution containing available chlorine 1000 mg/L for 90 min was 5.0,and that exposed to the 84 disinfection solution containing iodine for 60 min under same conditions was 5.05.After use for 24 h,the germicidal efficacy decreased. Both 84 disinfection solutions containing available chlorine 1000 mg/L with a contact time of 15 min could completely inactivate HBsAg activity in suspension. Conclusions Both 84 disinfection solutions can effectively kill bacterial spores and destroy HBsAg.The germicidal efficacy of the 84 disinfection solution containing iodine is slightly better than that of the ordinary 84 disinfectiion solution.
