Title: Effects of carvedilol therapy on the left ventricular remodeling and cardial function in patients with coronary heart disease with cardiac dysfunction
Abstract: Objective To investingate the effect of carvedilol on cardiac function and ventricular remodeling in patients with coronary heart diseases(CHD) and cardiac dysfunction. Methods In 80 CHD patirnts with cardiac dysfunction, the left ejection fraction of them was ≤45% and cardial function was grade Ⅲ. On a basic of routine therapy, they were divided randomly into observational group and control group for a follow-up period of 6-month.The ventricular function and left remodeling were measured by echocardiography Results The left ventricular ejection fraction was increased significantly(P0.01), and the left ventricular end-systolic volume index, the left ventricular end-diastolic volume index and the left ventricular mass index were decreased in carvedilol group campared with those in control group after 6 months(P0.05 and P0.01, respectively).Conclusin The routine treatment plus carvedilol therapy can improve left ventricular functions and ventricular remodeling in CHD patient with heart failure.
