Title: Expression and significance of VEGF-C and VEGFR-3 in non-small cell lung carcinoma
Abstract: Objective To investigate the relationship and significance of VEGF-C expression in the serum lymph and in the lung tissue of non-small all lung carcinoma, and to investigate the role of VEGF-C in the lymph metastasis of non-small cell cancer. Methods S-p immunohistochemical staining was used to detect the expression of VEGF-C and its receptor VEGFR-3 of neoplasm tissue and peri-tu- moral tissue in 55 cases with non-small lung carcinoma.Results(1)Positive immunostainning in lymph node metastasis was observed in 35 of 55(63.64%),positive immunostainning in lymph node no-metastasis was observed in 20 of 55 cases(36.36%),there were signifi- cant difference(P0.05).(2)The LMVD in lymph node metastasis was 26.57±7.23.The LMVD in lymph node no-metastasis was 13.53±8.55,there were significant difference(P0.01).Conclusion There is a positive correlation between VEGF-c and VEGFR-3 over-expression in non-small cell lung cancer. The number of VEGFR-3 positive vessels is related to lymph node metastasis, detecting the VEGF-C in lymph is a new method to evaluate the detecting lymph-node metastasis and the effective of therapy. It would play an important role in future.
