Title: Study of domestic quetiapine combined with valproate in treament of femal bipolar disord I
Abstract: Objective To study the efficacy and safty of quetiapine combined with valproate in treatment of female bipolar disorder Ⅰ.Methods Forty patients met with diagnositic criteria of bipolar disorderⅠin CCMD-3 were randomly divided into study group(Quetiapine combined with valproate,22 patients) and control group(Lithium combined with valproate,18 patients),and had been observed outcomes for 6 weeks. The Young Mania Rating Scale (YMRS)and TESS were separately used for the assessments of efficacy and safty.Results At the end of second week,the decreasing rate of YMRS in quetiapine group was significantly higher than that in control group and the difference sustain for 6 weeks. The full remission rate at 6th week,quetiapine group was significantly higher than that in control group. According to Young's scale rate of change is greater than or equal to 75% recovery; the cure rate in study group 63.6% (14/22),and in the control group is 38.9% (7/18),and the difference between them was significant. Both groups have no serious side effects,such as headache,dizziness and sleepiness.Conclusion The effect of quetiapine combined with valproate in treatment of female bipolar disorderⅠare better than those of lithium combined with valproate.
