Title: Expression and Significance of ET-1 in Lung and Colon Tissues of Chronic Bronchitis Rats
Abstract: Objective:To observe the content changes of ET-1 in lung and colon tissues of chronic bronchitis rats,to study the mechanism for chronic bronchitis induced colon injury.Methods:60 SD rats were randomly divided into control and model groups(n=30),the control group were conventionally fed but the model group were intervened with simple smoking way.The general condition and pathomorphological changes in lung and colon tissues of the two groups were observed by light microscopy and electronic microscopy. The contents of ET-1 in lung and colon tissue were detected by ELISA.Results:The lung and colon tissue of control group had no obvious change. The model group rats′ lung tissue appeared bronchia epithelial cell degeneration, necrosis, inflammation cell infiltration goblet cell hyperplasia, type I epithelial cell mitochondria swell, endoplasmic reticulum expansion, type Ⅱepithelial cell proliferation, capillary basement membrane thickening, alveolar wall fibrous tissue hyperplasia.Colon mucosa and submucosal inflammatory cells infiltration, part of the microvilli disappear, submucosal propria collagen fiber hyperplasia with myofibroblast.ELISA showed that the expression of ET-1 in lung and colon tissue was increased simultaneously, with significant difference compared to control group(P0.01).Conclusion:Chronic bronchitis rats can appear colon injury,ET-1 may mediate the bronchitis rats′ colon damage process.
