Title: Expression and Clinical Pathologic Significance of VEGF in Gastric Cancer
Abstract: Objective:To study the relationship between VEGF expression in gastric cancer and TNM staging, differentiation, infiltration, and metastasis. Methods:The expression of VEGF was examined in 65 cases of gastric cancer and 20 normal gastric tissue resected by surgery with ELIVISION immunohistochemical technique.Result:The positive expression of VEGF in the GC group was significantly higher than that in the normal group(P0.05),in which the expression of VEGF has significant correlation with differentiation,TNM staging, infiltration depth, and metastasis, while no correlation with gender and age. Conclusion:VEGF might be used in diagnosis and prognosis of tumor, especially gastric cancer.
