Title: Potential use of acidic cellulase chitosan biodegradation
Abstract: To identify the potential use of a certain acidi cellulase in chitooligosaccharide preparation,conditions for chitosan degradation for the acidic cellulase were investigated based on the extent of chitosan hydrolysis.Results indicated that the optimal temperature and pH was 50℃ and 5.0,respectively.And the enzyme concentration and reaction time was 0.7 mL and 4 h,respectively.Furthermore,the viscosity of chitosan solution was also investigated during the enzymatic hydrolyze process,and the main products was analyzed by using organic solvent precipitation method.Results indicated that chitooligosaccharides with a degree of polymerization(DP) of 8 ~16 and DP 8 were the main products,they were 42.8% and 42.9% of the total products in weight,respectively.Based on these results,potential use of the acidic cellulase in preparation of chitooligosaccharides was confirmed.
