Title: Optimal water extraction and preservative effect for chlorogenic acid from leaves of Eucommia ulmoides
Abstract: The method and technology of the chlorogenic acid extracted from Eucommia ulmoides leaf was optimized for the reference for the development of the industry. The optimal technology was experimented with the combination of ultrasound method through the orthogonal test of 4 factors at 3 levels based on the experiment in single factor. And the preservative experiment used the extract was investigated. The best extraction condition of the chlorogenic acid from Eucommiae ulmoides leaves was the pH value 4,the ratio of solid:liquid 1:30,the time of ultrasonic treatment 50 minutes and temperature of ultrasonic treatment 60 ℃.In comparison with traditional extraction methods, water extraction technology was higher in extraction rate, less in energy consumption, shorter in extraction duration and lower in cost, and this case provided theoretical evidence for in dustrialized production of chlorogenic acid from Eucommia ulmoides leaves. The results showed the preservation effect of the concentration 0.02% of chlorogenic acid as well as the concentration 0.03% of ethyl nipagin Ester.
