Title: On the Female's Status in the Early Tang Dynasty
Abstract: The Early Tang Dynasty is a well-developed period of social politics and economy in ancient feudal society,in which the female has its uniqueness,for example,the female was allowed to remarry and to take part in politics.Wu Zetian,the only Queen in Chinese history,appointed a lot of female officials in her reign.Besides,a great majority of females were allowed to learn poetry,verse and dance.The complete works of poems in Tang Dynasty has related to more than 120 females and their 600 poems,and the authors are not only Queens but also Buddist nuns,Taoist pries and prostitutes covering all the classes in the society,which shows that the social status of females has been greatly improved in the era of clear politics,vigorous culture and rich economy.
