Title: Multivariate Analysis of Prognostic Factors for Breast Cancer Patients with Liver Metastasis
Abstract: Objectine: To investigate the prognostic factors of breast cancer patients with liver metastasis. Methods: The data of 26 breast cancer patients with liver metastasis treated from Mar 1991 to Feb 2004 were reviewed and analyzed by two sample test. Results:The response rate of chemotherapy was 53. 84% . There were 7 patients with single metastasis in liver and 19 patients with multi-metastasis in liver. The median TTP of patients with single metastasis in liver was 9. 86 months and 6. 10 months in patients with multi-metastasis in liver(P0.05 ). Among the 26 patients, the median TTP of 10 patients without distant metastasis in other organ was 5 months; 9. 86 months for other 16 patients with distant metastasis in other organs(P0. 05) , 17 patients received chemotherapy with median TTP of 9. 65 months; 9 patients did not receive chemotherapy and their median TTP was 2. 33 months (P 0. 05). Conclusion: The prognosis of breast cancer with liver metastasis is influenced significantly by chemotherapy but not the mumber of liver metastasis and distant metastasis in other organ.
