Title: The Application of Multislice CT Angiography in Hepatic Veins Anatomy
Abstract: Objective To explore the feasibility of 16 multislice spiral CT in evaluating hepatic veins;to optimize the scan delay time and post-processing technique and classify the anatomy of the hepatic vein that suits for Chinese people.Materials and Methods Liver contrast enhanced CT scans were performed in 30 patients at 50s,60s,70s,80s and 90s after the initiation of injection. All data were processed using post-processing software of MIP,VR and SSD.The CT value of the hepatic vein trunks was measured and the results of three post-processing techniques were compared.According to Nakamura and Marcos' classification,75 cases of the hepatic vein anatomy were classified. Results 70 s was the optimal delay time and VR was the best post-processing techniques in showing the hepatic vein branches.Nakamura Ⅰand Marcos Ⅰ hepatic vein anatomy were common in Chinese people. Conclusion MSCT is a noninvasive method and has the ability to delineate and classify the anatomy of the hepatic veins.
