Title: Value of 16-Slice Spiral CT Angiography in the Diagnosis of Moyamoya Disease
Abstract: Objective: To study the value of 16-slice spiral CT angiography for the diagnosis of Moyamoya disease. Methods: Multi-slice spiral CT angiography(MSCTA) were performed in 20 patients. The angiograms obtained were processed on the workstation to perform volume rending(VR),maximal intensity projection(MIP) and multiplanar volume reconstruction(MPVR),and DSA were performed in three patients. Results: In all the 20 patients,MSCTA clearly showed lesions of stenosis or occlusion in internal carotid artery(ICA),anterior cerebral artery(ACA),middle cerebral artery(MCA) and abnormal vessel network in the basal part of brain. Conclusion: MSCTA can be performed simply and quickly, which can well indicate the abnormal vessels and collateral circulation of Moyamoya disease, and provide important reference for the diagnosis and therapy.
