Title: The Relationships Between Microvessel Density, Expression of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor and the Prognosis of Endometrial Carcinoma
Abstract: Objective] To investigate the relationships between intratumor MVD, VEGF expression and the prognosis of patients with endometrial carcinoma. MVD and VEGF expression in endometrial carcinoma tissue were detected by SP immunohistochemical method in 48 patients. The relationships between MVD, VEGF expression and prognosis were analyzed. Kaplan Meier survival analysis showed that survival rate in patients with MVD≥ 10 was significantly lower than that with MVD 10.P 0.05. No significant correlation was found between VEGF expression and survival rate. Cox regression analysis showed that MVD was an independent prognostic factor for endometrial carcinoma. RR was 4.02, P 0.05. [ Conclution] High level of MVD is associated with poor survival of patients with endometrial carcinoma. MVD is one of the independent prognostic factors for endometrial carcinoma.
