Title: SCL-90 as Measurement of Mental Health in College Students:a meta-analysis
Abstract: Objective:To understand the mental health of college students and to conduct the mental health education to the college students scientifically.Methods:Among the studies on the mental health of college students since 1990s,232 samples were collected as well as the information of 263775 college students from 24 provinces and cities and five norms were used as a reference group,and the data were analyzed with the Meta-analysis 5.3.Results:According to the incorporative effects about the mental health of the college students,the general levels of the college students were lower than that of the norms made by Jin Hua et al(d=0.35,0.22;Ps0.01),but higher than that of three norms of college students(d=-0.26,-0.22,-0.10;Ps0.01).Meanwhile,four factors,including obsession,anxiety,terror and psychosis were higher than other factors.According to the scores of 263775 people,the average score of the SCL-90 factors was got and it was significantly different from other 5 norms(P0.05).Conclusions:The norms of SCL-90 of the college students should be reformulated scientifically and the results still need to be further discussed.
