Title: Effects of Psychological Intervention and Human Care on Depression and Limb Function Rehabilitation Following Depression
Abstract: Objective:To investigate the effects of psychological intervention and human care on depression and function rehabilitation following depression.Methods: 256 patients with poststroke depression were divided into treatment group and control group randomly,n=12 each.All the cases accepted routine neurological therapy,antidepressants and rehabilitation training.The patients in the treatment group were additionally treated with psychological intervention and human care.They were assessed with the Hamilton depression scale(HAMD) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS).Results: After treatment for 8 weeks the scores of HAMD and NIHSS were significantly reduced as compared with those before treatment(P0.05).The reduction of the scores of HAMD and NIHSS was more significant in treatment group than in control group(P0.05).Conclusion: Psychological intervention and human care may obviously improve poststroke depression and limb function.
