Title: The Expression of CD44v6 and PTEN and Its Relationship with Biological Behaviors of Cholangiocarcinoma
Abstract: Objective To study the relationship between the expression of CD44v6 and tumor suppressor gene PTEN and biological behaviors in cholangiocarcinomas. Methods The expression of CD44v6 and PTEN in 43 cases of cholangiocarcinoma was detected by immunohistochemical technique. The relationship between expression of CD44v6 and PTEN and the clinicopathological features of cholangiocarcinoma was analyzed. Results The positive expression rate of CD44v6 and PTEN in cholangiocarcinoma was 62.8% and 39.5%,respectively.The high level expression of CD44v6 and the low level expression of PTEN were closely correlated with the TNM staging, differential degree and metastasis of cholangiocarcinoma(P0.05). Conclusion The combination detection of CD44v6 and PTEN expression may be helpful to predict the biological behaviors of cholangiocarcinomas.
