Title: Carotid artery color Doppler ultrasound in prediction of coronary heart disease and the relationship with coronary angiography
Abstract: Objective To study the ultrasonic detection of carotid artery atherosclerotic plaque predictive value for coronary artery disease. Methods Coronary heart disease risk factors in 98 patients underwent carotid ultrasonography and coronary artery angiography,on carotid atherosclerotic plaques examined the predictive value of assessment. Results Among 98 patients, carotid ultrasound detected in atherosclerotic plaques in 57 cases, including 40 cases of coronary angiography prompted coronary atherosclerotic heart disease,6 cases of prompt coronary atherosclerosis,11 cases of angiographically normal coronary arteries;Among 41 patients with carotid intimal thickening, atherosclerotic plaques,19 cases of angiographically normal coronary arteries,5 cases of prompt coronary atherosclerosis,17 cases of coronary atherosclerotic heart disease. Conclusion Ultrasound detection of carotid artery atherosclerotic plaque in coronary heart disease have some predictive value.
